Project Overview
Nature’s Basket is a vibrant farmers market located in the heart of a rapidly growing suburban community. It serves as a hub where local farmers and artisans can sell fresh produce, handmade goods, and eco-friendly products. While it enjoys a strong reputation in its immediate area, many participating vendors struggle to reach a wider audience.

Challenge
Despite its popularity, Nature’s Basket faces limitations in customer reach. Many residents outside the immediate neighborhood are unaware of the market’s offerings, and some potential customers are discouraged by travel distance or a lack of timely information on vendor availability.
Nature’s Basket plans to incorporate mobile payment options and an app that allows customers to track the trucks in real-time, browse available products, and place pre-orders for pickup.
Each truck will be stocked with products from multiple farmers and vendors, ensuring a diverse selection. This collaborative approach will also help distribute the transportation burden and maximize profits for all participating farmers.
Nature’s Basket is not only expanding its reach by bringing grocery trucks and vendor goods directly to neighborhoods—it’s also developing a mobile app that makes shopping easier and more convenient. With the app, customers won’t need to carry cash or worry about exact change; instead, they’ll be able to preload funds and simply scan their phone to make quick, contactless purchases at the food truck.
Expected Outcome
The Nature’s Basket app will help bridge the gap between local farmers and broader communities, increasing customer engagement, simplifying access to fresh goods, and supporting small, sustainable businesses by making them more visible and accessible.
